A month after returning from an overseas trip, we noticed little spots of blood on our sheets. At first we thought mosquito bites on my husband because he had a couple of small bites that were itchy, but didn’t see or hear any. When I was stripping the bed to wash sheets, I noticed two very tiny black specks. It was hard to tell if it was a bug, but I shook the dots into a jar. We looked up bedbugs on the internet (since we had been traveling) and decided that bedbugs from our travels were biting my husband. We saw a Bug-U Pest Control ad in the Chronicle and in a local magazine, so we called. The answering service took our name, phone number and nature of problem. They said someone would get back to us and they did the next evening. We were able to set up an appointment & get a price on the phone. It was confirmed online. The serviceman came, identified the problem as bedbugs and did what he needed to do in the bedroom. Plus, he checked the other bedroom we were sleeping in, our family room where we spend La-Z-Boy time and the living room couch and chairs- no other signs which was a relief. As part of the service, the serviceman left small insect boxes in various spots and will be back in 3 weeks to see if any bugs are in these boxes which means another treatment. So far, so good. Four stars given because we don’t know if the treatment got everything the 1st time..(really hope so!) We liked the follow up of checking the boxes. This company kept the scheduled day & time. We felt the serviceman was knowledgeable and efficient. He answered our questions and told us what he was doing. In all our travels, this was the first experience with bedbugs, so we can’t judge the cost because it had to be done.

Have been using Bug-U for over a year on a bi-monthly basis to control outdoor insects (ants, spiders, wasps, etc). They are very attentive and responsive. The techs are always happy to answer my questions and concerns. They re-treat if necessary between regular treatments at no extra cost. Would recommend this company.

Excellent tech. Adam explained the procedure before he began the treatment, answered any questions we had for him. We waited outside, had our dog and wanted to keep all of us out, while he did his work.
