DSR saved our kitchen from major damage. Our drain pipe fell apart while washing dishes and flooded our cabinet under the sink. This caused water to drain down into our finished basement. DSR was first in my Google search for a local plumber and I am glad I texted. David responded to me at 8PM that evening and was able to come to our home the following morning at 7:30 AM. When David & his apprentice arrived, David was able to diagnose the issue right away, offer practical, long-term solutions and fixed the drain pipe for our kitchen sink during the same visit. It was great to talk with him while he did the repair for us and never tried to upsell us during the visit. He also assured me that if something goes wrong after he leaves, he would come back at no charge. DSR is the real deal. Honest, fair, local, and family man. It felt like I’ve known David for years and today was the first time we met. I always make it a point to hire local contractors in my area. David is a 3-minute drive from my home. Knowing that, I feel very confident hiring his company again and know I would receive prompt, attentive, and affordable services. David takes a lot of pride in his work and it absolutely shows. If every contractor had David’s work ethic and attention to detail, every homeowner would sleep comfortably at night. If you are in need of any plumbing services in the Waterford / Clifton Park area (or the capital region). I would HIGHLY recommend DSR!

I called David to come check out my toilet and trap because it had been running super slow and the previous owner told us they would have to clean out the trap every once in a while. He came out the same day, gave me a fair assessment and was so kind while doing so. I would recommend him to anyone looking for work especially right in Waterford.

Another five star review for David. He fit us in the morning after I called. Very personable guy, quick work and reasonably priced. He respectfully wore shoe covers when he came into our house. We definitely will use him again and refer him in the future.

We have a chronic problem with one of our toilets plugging (almost weekly) and I was concerned that it was a larger problem, like a plugged vent. Dave came over and we figured out where all of the drains were in our finished basement and concluded that everything was working and was built to code. Unfortunately, the "builder quality" toilet doesn't supply enough force to consistently flush the long line to exit the house. I will now look for one of the higher end toilets he recommended. This expands on Dave's visit of August, 2025, above. While the better new toilet worked MUCH better, it eventually plugged more that I could free with a plunger. I called Dave and, that afternoon, he was able to use his savvy and his very good toilet snake to clear the toilet trap. GREAT service and reasonable charge.
