Just want to shoutout the Manager at Villages of Dorchester! She always keeps the community informed and always responds in a timely manner! My Mom lives at this community and I’m confident that she is in good hands regarding “Things to know” because of Crystal J.

Crystal at Villages of Dorchester is Magnificent. She was able to assist me with repairs needed at my home and also how to enjoy the community center as well. She is the sole reason behind my 5 star review. Thanks again

My experience with this community’s management has been consistently disappointing. Resident concerns are often answered incompletely, promised follow-ups require repeated requests, and official building communications frequently appear rushed and unreviewed. After I reported that my iPhone charger disappeared from the fitness center, management said staff would be consulted the following Monday. I received no update and had to follow up again on Wednesday. The eventual response only stated that nothing had been turned in; it did not answer whether the security footage had been reviewed. I subsequently requested that relevant footage and access records be preserved and asked for clarification regarding the building’s guest and secured-access policies. As of August 22, 2026, I have not received a response. In another incident, the concierge called both our landline and personal cellphones around 4:00 a.m. regarding a grocery delivery. When I raised the unreasonable timing, management’s replies focused primarily on what I should have done differently. One response stated that if residents do not provide advance notice, “they may call you.” This did not address my straightforward request not to receive nonemergency calls before 8:00 a.m. I have also received building-wide notices that included information that could have been handled more discreetly. Examples have included: - A complete license-plate number, parking-space number, and corresponding unit number. - Photographs and license plates of vehicles, followed by requests for residents to identify the owners. - The full name of a resident who asked for home-warranty recommendations. - A customer’s name in a building-wide notice about an Uber Eats order. Some of these notices may have had legitimate operational purposes, but identifying information could have been minimized or the matters could have been handled directly. The quality of official written communication is another recurring concern. Examples of actual subject lines and wording include: - “CAr parked in wrong space” - “Two polices approved by the Board” - “Weekly Update 3/27/206” - “Trash pickup issxue” - “2026 Budget and condo fee informtion” - “Wether advisory fo the upcoming week” - “Agenda and Zoom access information fo the Board meting” - “Some new informtion came in so I am resendign this to allof you.” - “If you know whose vheucle this is plese let mekn ow.” These are not isolated typographical mistakes. Similar errors have appeared repeatedly in notices concerning board meetings, budgets, policies, parking, safety, and other official community matters. Residents should be able to expect timely follow-through, direct answers, appropriate discretion, and professionally reviewed communications from community management. Based on my documented experience, substantial improvement is needed in responsiveness, accountability, judgment, and communication quality.

I want to take a moment to highlight the recent support I received from Crystal Johnson. I recently needed some information and I reached out through my communities website. I texted the Chatbot with my request. I received some of what I was looking for but not all. I got frustrated and texted this is of no help to the bot not expecting anyone to follow up with my request. To my surprise just a day later Crystal reached out via email with the exact information I was looking for! Crystal’s initiative and support is greatly valued.
