Very good experience. We have been slowly fixing things in the house to make it more energy efficient. I called Halco for insulation solutions for my damp enclosed crawl space and where i found mice had been making condos in old insulation under a family room (EWWW). Work was looked at and if work didn't need to be done, they didn't recommend it to pad the bill. Price was decent, especially with the home improvement incentive. Now for the important part.... Chose to go with spray insulation and ensuring everything was sealed and protected Including my cinder block walls that let moisture in. Removed old mouse condos and cleaned everything up. We did have to stay out of the house with the cats until they were done. Kory VanZile was EXCELLENT. He kept us informed, did great work, ensured it met our expectations. The test before the work done was 1800+ (as it was explained we were losing a lot of energy). After their work? 950! He looked at one other thing for us and found that the attic baffles from the 20 year ago insulation company were not correctly put in Recommended that we wait until next year when we could do the energy rebate again. They work very hard and deserve respect for the work they have to do. I have recommended them to a friend for work they need to have done.

Halco Has been working through a complicated grant and has made this process so much easier than it has been with other companies (I was ghosted by my last contractor). So grateful for their professionalism and communication! Update: team came (Jason, Noah, &Kevin) and did spray foam on my basement walls. Excellent communication and SO tidy! I’ve had spray foam done in other places before, and these fine gentlemen even painted the spray foam to match the walls. Highly recommend. Update: Having a duplex, upgrading the electrical panels was a bit complicated, but Delroy and his team did a great job and my new panel boxes look great. I also had heat pump hot water heaters installed by Zack and Ryan, and everything was tidy and looks great. All work is officially completed and I couldn't be happier with the results.

typically prefer not to leave ratings, but I did want to share my experience. The most positive part of the process was receiving my new crawl space door. The installation overall wasn’t quite what I expected; however, I knew it was necessary, so I moved forward with it. There were a few additional items I had previously discussed with Jason W., and I was surprised to see they were not included on the final list of work. However, Jason reached out to me, and we discussed the matter further. He promptly scheduled an appointment, inspected the areas in question, and completed the remaining work within two days. Although I was initially confused—since we had gone over these details thoroughly—he explained that he had simply forgotten. We are all human, so I understood. He walked me through everything, provided clear explanations, and assured me that I could contact him if anything else was needed. Thank you, Jason W., for listening and understanding my point of view. I can also confirm that if you choose to have blown-in insulation installed as I did, you should plan to be out of the house during the process. It’s also best to schedule this work in the summer rather than the winter so the home can ventilate properly afterward. Lastly, I did have to perform additional cleanup after the team left, which I hadn’t anticipated. I expected the crew to leave the area in the same condition in which they found it, especially since I have asthma and the dust in the basement was not ideal for my health. Given that this is a professional company, I expected a higher standard—particularly regarding the paint job completed by Kevin. This is ultimately why my overall rating is a four.

Mike was absolutely wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very patience with all my questions. Including when I interrupted him during the installation with more questions. I was very comfortable having him at my home and he was super respectful. He showed me exactly how it was hooked up and explained what to keep an eye on to assure the hot water heater is working properly. I would recommend him to anyone. He made a challenging situation much more comfortable. You have a special person working for you and I hope you realize that. Thank you Mike Crum.
