Herman Exterior recently completed an extensive top to bottom exterior refresh of our 1840 home. Given the age and details of the house, we needed to find a contractor we felt comfortable with and who we trusted with our goal of maintaining as much of the historical charm while adding modern protections with durable products. Gary and Santiago spent a lot of time answering my questions and walking the house (more than once!) to make me feel at ease before diving into this massive project. The results speak for themselves. Our home is absolutely beautiful. Joe and team took painstaking care in handling all the historical trim. The LP Smartside installation was seamless and blends incredibly with our original trim work (pictured attached). As with any project of this size and scope, things happen. Everything was handled with a customer-first approach that exceeds expectations. We ended this job with deep gratitude for the talent, diligence, and meticulous precision that went into every stage of this project. We will enjoy the results for years to come.

Herman Exterior Homes did a wonderful job siding our home in Niskayuna with Everlast siding! Everlast siding is a unique product, and you really need to get people who are knowledgeable and familiar working with it. Santiago, Chuck and crew definitely knew what they were doing with Everlast. They were efficient while at the same time attentive to details. Would hire again in a heartbeat!

Herman Exterior Homes exceeded my expectations and then some. Santiago and his crew were absolutely incredible from start to finish on my full exterior project, including siding, roof, windows, and doors. The level of craftmanship, attention to detail and pride they took in their work truly shows in the final result. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. What really set them apart was the communication, from day one, I always knew what to expect, timelines were clear, and any questions I had were answered right away. The entire process felt smooth and stress-free. And on top of that, they were so kind, patient and respectful with my two dogs-something that meant a lot to me! It's not often you find a team that is not only highly skilled but also genuinely thoughtful and considerate. If you're looking for a company you can trust to transform your home and make the experience a great one, I can't recommend Herman Exterior Homes enough. Truly top-notch!!

Christian and his crews were great to work with. Vinyl siding was installed by a hardworking crew in 3 days on some of the coldest days in January! Gutters were installed in early spring. I am very pleased with the beautiful results and highly recommend Herman Exterior Homes!

We've dreamed about building our forever home in the mountains for 30 years. In an effort to make it as maintenance free as possible we chose LP Smartside for the siding. It was clear that our building contractor didn't have experience with this product so we used the LP Smartside Contractor Locator to find someone who was recommended by the manufacturer. That feature allows you to enter your zip code and contact 5 companies "near you." I put "near you" in quotes because our house is far from, well, everything. Within 2 hours of using this feature I was contacted by Gary from Herman Exteriors. He told me he was on vacation (relatively close to us) in Lake George and offered to come to our house to look at the job that day. That impressed me. (I feel obligated to point out that none of the other four companies we reached out to ever responded.) We already owned our siding and Herman was willing to work with our materials. I was impressed that Santiago (the owner) was willing to talk to me directly. We spent 45 minutes on the phone the first time and multiple times since then. He was serious and genuine, and I came to trust him. He always had time for me. He told me his goal was to get a five star review from me. As far as guarantees go, I couldn't imagine a loophole in his goal. I'm pretty demanding about work like this, and I knew I wouldn't give a five star review unless the work was excellent and I was satisfied. The crew that completed the job was excellent. Quiet, respectful and very hardworking. By the time the job was done I had a deep respect for their work ethic. As you can see the job came out really well. Some of our deck stairs got a bit beat up in the process and they replaced them all. I recommend this company.
