Pretty disappointing overall. The job was messed up three times, so it ended up taking 40% longer and costing 30% more than the original quote. The end result was sloppy, and it felt like a “landlord special” repair, not one that I would want to have done to my own home. Pete was very nice though!!

I've worked with Home Hero on other projects in the past. I just had another fantastic experience working with them to repair and reinforce 2 of my closets in a new apartment. Because of the building’s construction, the closets only had aluminum studs, which caused the original installation to be poorly supported. One closet in particular looked like it was about to cave in because the brackets hadn’t even been installed on the studs. They removed the original closet rods and brackets, which had been welded together as a single piece, and replaced them with separate rods and rod sockets for a much stronger and more practical setup. They also installed ledger boards under the shelves to provide additional structural support. For the closet that was failing, they went the extra mile by temporarily opening the drywall and installing a 1×4 support between the studs to reinforce the wall behind the sheetrock. After reinforcing everything, they closed the wall back up, prepped it properly, and repainted the closet so it looked like nothing had ever been opened. The workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. The closets now feel solid and secure and they look great. I’m extremely happy with the results and would absolutely recommend Home Hero to anyone who wants the job done right.

We used Home Hero to baby proof the stairs in our row home. The entire process was easy, quick, and smooth. We had a small miscommunication early in our project and the team was quick to sort things out while remaining kind and flexible throughout the entire process, which I think really highlights their integrity! We will definitely be using Home Hero again in the future for other home projects!

Home Hero has saved the day for me many times in the past year as I have settled into my new home. My inspector recommended them and they built a wall to create a bedroom for me on the first floor for guests I needed to host long term. Over the past year, they have hung heavy artwork and baby cameras in addition to moving heavy furniture between floors. When they build furniture, it is strong enough for climbing toddlers and also secure for child safety! Thank you, Home Hero!

We got tired of paying a second handyman to fix the first guys mistakes so we contacted HH via their Virtual Estimate. They got back to me the next day, and the quote was in the same ballpark as others we received so we went ahead with our kitchen wall repair. They did a nice job, and we were happy with the outcome (see photos). We already have other projects in mind and will be contacting them again. Nice job Home Hero Team!
